Like any wolf worthy of it's pack, we're not going down without a fight!

Just look at what happened to Jacob when he tried to challenge the Alpha - he was exiled from his friends and family and became the Cullen's personal lapdog - I'm sure his ancestors were thrilled!

Team Solomon needs YOU to write to and/or email Summit and make them see just how much of a mistake this decision is!

Remember to play this smart:
being antagonistic doesn't help anyone - the last thing we want is to get Sol in trouble; and don't title your email something obvious, which they could mark as "Spam", use something generic or, even better, intriguing - we need as many people to read them as possible!

Leading by example, here is...
Laura's correspondence with Nancy Kirkpatrick at Summit Entertainment;
Martyna's letter to Summit Entertainment;
Naomi's letter to Summit Entertainment:

As much as you want to show Summit that they made a mistake, its not going to change the fact that they replaced Sol. Hes accepted it, we should too.

Thu, 05 Mar 2009 15:05:32

You're entitled to your opinion but I'd feel that I'd let Sol down if I didn't do everything I could - even if it just mean's they'll consider him at all for Eclipse - I just don't give up that easily and he deserves more!

Thu, 05 Mar 2009 15:07:27

Yep, we will keep fighting for Sol, it only costs us a good will. Maybe hi did accepted it, well, I didn't. Sorry.

Thu, 05 Mar 2009 15:45:29

I second or third that Satarte. Not sure which number I am in line lol. Solomon probably has excepted it. But that doesn't mean we have to give up just yet. It isn't over till the so called new Sam character is being filmed in my opinion. Besides, Solomon is worth the fight. I am on board.

Oh I am also on the hunt for the main head casting director's email. I will post it if I can get a hold to it.

I for one am with you guys as well! No one deserves this more than Solomon. It would be nice to see at least one actor in the movie bring some authenticity and real dedication to the role. Solomon is the ONLY Sam Uley for me! Keep it up Team Solomon!!!

Sometimes it's about making a stand whether or not we are listened to. But it wasn't right to replace the one guy who actually took the time to learn Quileute. Just remember to keep it professional. We don't want to get him blacklisted from other things he might want to do. Also writing snail mail letters may not get there very fast but they do make a bigger impact because you can't delete them as easily. So don't be afraid to send snail mail.

You guys have to understand, theres nothing we can do anymore. As much as I wanted him as well, we cant petition to have him in New Moon or Eclipse. I mean we can, but you really think the Casting Directors really care? Not really. The cast has been hired, and there getting started to shoot. Just be thankful they let him in Twilight.

If he accepted the fact he wont be apart of New Moon, whats the use in you fighting for a different outcome?

Who cares he learned Quilute. Maybe he did it for himself. Its going to be a teen type of movie. There not going to use real quilute people or have them talk and dress like them. There present day quilutes. There people just like us.

If you guys send messages to Summit or the casting companies, fine. Do whatever you want, but, it might have a negative impact on Solomon.

Man, I'm freaking out here, anonymous. You have your opinion, right? But we desagree, you know. Sure, maybe Solomon will still bad with us always remember the fact. But I think he understand what we're proposing to do for him. And, sure, maybe we'll fail, and so? Try is our way to show him our support. But, yes, maybe we're just being selfish, because we want him in the movie. Who knows? If I see that Solomon is bad with this fight, so the only way is stop and say "I'm sorry, I just wanted help you. Yeah, be a fan SUCKS, because we never know when he have to stop to try show our feelings. Sorry". Simple. (y)'

Fri, 06 Mar 2009 00:26:55

Anonymous are you working in Summit? Why won't you introduce yourself to the rest? Are you embarrassed, or what?
What is the point of you being so negative about our actions? Are you related to someone who might get a Quilute part and feel threatened?

Sorry but I just can't understand you. Any place would be fine to discuss all of this, but your comments here are almost improper. Are you trying to aggravate Sol's fans? Are you trying to turn back the river with the stick? Why, what is your real point?

Fri, 06 Mar 2009 02:56:28

Well said! I like how Cassondra put it - it's not about being heard, it's about speaking up!
Yeah the big bad entertainment company will probably ignore us, but where's the harm in trying?!
As far as I'm concerned, giving up on Sol is exactly the attitude Summit is demonstrating - well, sorry but I believe in him!

Fri, 06 Mar 2009 05:42:22

I def. agree with you guys! I will fight till there is no more fighting left to do. I believe that Sol is the best man for the role of Sam & I am going to prove it to Summit! So don't give up the fight you guys!!!

Fri, 06 Mar 2009 22:10:10

I so say the same thing Lorabell. I believe in him as well. And it does seem as if Summit has just given up on him. The Question is... Why? It is so Frustrating.

I agree with everyone here. It may not work, but it's worth letting Summit know how unhappy we are with their decision to replace Sol. We, the fans, are the ones paying money to see the movies after all.

As far as it not mattering that he learned the Quilute language...Stephenie and Catherine both were impressed that he was that dedicated to the character! They also used his suggestions on his wardrobe. Catherine and her crew put together an amazing cast, and I don't think they should change it. Especially those who have worked as hard on the role as Sol has!

I know Sol is part of this group. I would really love to hear what he has to say on this matter. Sigh....

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 10:54:21

Besty: sorry, Sol isn't "part of this group" - but we'll certainly pass on any direct info we get... with his permission ;)

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 14:13:04

why are you guys deleting my comments.
Im not trying to fight with anyone here.

If solomon wanted it as much as the fans did, he would of gone out and done something about it. And he didnt.

Why should we feel bad that they recasted him. He had so much time to do stuff rather than to sit back and do nothing. Nobody really remembered Sam or even cared till that Seth wannabe said something.

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 14:56:10

Anonymous - we didn't delete your comments, you can still see them in the thread.

And if you're not trying to fight with anyone then why do you keep coming back and being antagonistic?

We feel bad that they reCAST him because he worked really hard for it and has been shafted because Summit have become money-hungry.

While you think he was "sitting back and doing nothing" he was actually selling his car to pay for gym membership, so he could work-out (sometimes more than once) every day; consulting a nutritionist; working with an acting coach; learning more about the Quileute people and their dialect as well as writing songs in the language; reading and re-reading the saga books; writing poetry from Sam's perspective; doing countless interviews for numerous Twilight sites (so many that we've not even had the chance to finish our page of their archives yet); not to mention graduating college; working; teaching; volunteering!

In one of his most recent (and many!) interviews he said "I can't remember the last time I did something non-Twilight related"!

Even though YOU may not have thought about it until Koa was published on that site a few weeks ago, so many others of us have been keeping our fingers crossed for him since they first announced New Moon - and even more of us have been so anxious since we learned of the casting-calls for "Sam".

If you don't agree with what we're doing, then you're perfectly welcome not to return to this site. However, if you come back again: do your research!

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 15:16:23

Yes,the time to fight is now. :)

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 17:59:56

It is true Lorabell, all the stuff that he has done for this role. He has been dedicated to that role from the time he got it. He went far and beyond what most anyone else would do for this role.

I have been a fan of his since the first interview, when I saw how dedicated her was, and the movie hadn't even finished filming yet. His dedication was an inspiration to me and I have been supporting him since.

And I will continue to support him no matter where he goes or what he does. I want him to be Sam Uley, and I will not stop fighting until the very end. However, if he still doesn't get this role, then I will just see what he does next and support him in that. I Support SOLOMON, not Sam (his character in Twilight) I just want him to get this role as Sam back because I think that he SO deserves it after all the hard work he has done. I also think he is perfect for that role. He can bring more to that character and that is something that I would like to see.

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 18:09:53

Forgot to add something.

I do not think that True Solomon fans would do anything that would be negative toward him. So Unless someone is being rude, or making threats, then I don't see how anything like supporting someone could be harmful to anyone.

The entertainment industry is a business made up of the artists/actors/actresses and their fans, they expect letters and mail supporting them. If they pay attention to the mail, then maybe something good will come of it, if not then they usually just toss it in the trash, but at least we tried, instead of sitting back doing nothing.

Without the fans; these artists/actors/actresses wouldn't have a job.

Sat, 07 Mar 2009 22:00:08

What I meant by that last part was that if there weren't fans then there would be no reason for people to be in the entertainment industry. Aghhh!

Someone help me explain this please.

anonymous.

Sun, 08 Mar 2009 00:50:26

yeah there would. people do it cause its their passion. Rob Pattinson wasnt about the fans.

Sun, 08 Mar 2009 08:19:16

Now we're on to Rob?! People need to chillax - we're all on the same side here - we just want New Moon to be a great movie!

Anonymous - if you don't want to support Solomon then be my guest - but, similarly, don't try to pull him down either.

Tracy - I get what you're trying to say, that fans turn the "acting profession" into the "entertainment industry" and they're not necessarily co-dependent?

Considering how easy communication now makes it for companies like Summit to gauge the demands of their audience, I'm shocked they don't realize how prioritizing profit over people will cost them more in the end.

In the words of the Twilight Examiner: "New Moon should be made for the Twilight fans, not for commercial value, because - in case they haven't caught the memo - there are millions of us."

Sun, 08 Mar 2009 11:34:27

I just meant that if there were no fans to pay to watch the movies, concerts, and what not, then there would be no reason to make the movies or concerts. That's how they make their money(the majority of). Does this help say what I meant? Not sure. But, yes Lorabell that goes along with it.

But I wasn't trying to change the subject, I was just making a point that the production companies and entertainment industry know that fans will write to voice their opinions of their fav people. As long as those fans keep it nice and non violent or threatening and keep it respectful then I don't see a problem.

That is the beauty of being a fan. They can like different people and support who they want. It just so happens we want to support Solomon. This also just happens to be the way that we want to support him and there is nothing wrong with that.

So just because everyone else doesn't want to do the same, then why is there a problem? Why try to discourage others from doing it? We aren't forcing anyone to do this. This is strictly for the fans who want to volunteer.

Tracy:

thats still not true. people offer free plays and productions. you dont have to pay for everything you see/.

and i dont even know what your talking about. there is no problem in what you and i are saying. we all support solomon. But no matter what we do, there not casting him again. Your just fighting for something thats never going to happen. I had never said not to continue supporting him, i just said it was a waste of breath. Continue to do it if you want!

However, i was never negative on this. Im looking at his situation from a professionals point of view. He is being professional and accepting it, you guys however aren't./

Mon, 09 Mar 2009 14:33:57

Did we claim to be professional? We're fans: we're doing what fans do - supporting!!!

I appreciate your side, but disagree and think it's very defeatist. What if, just WHAT IF, our support could make that tiny bit of difference - either to Solomon personally or professionally - isn't it worth trying?!

Didn't he work that hard to at least earn our support, not only when he's in some blockbuster, but when the chips are down?!

If I was him, I'd need the support of fans even more right now - what would you have us do: close the site down; delete all of everyone's support; recant everything; and have him believe that he's just that forgettable to us?!

Sorry, but I'm not that fickle - give up if you want to, but you're in the wrong place to argue that the rest of us should.

Mon, 09 Mar 2009 17:33:32

I wasn't arguing either. I was just making a point. Or trying to at least. And yes there are places that do free things. But Summit isn't doing it for free. They charge.

I just want to support Solomon. Even if it does no good, at least I tried and I won't give up on him. He deserves it. He worked hard for that role and I just want Summit and the casting people to know how I felt about that.

He deserved that role. I believe that and I still believe that. That's all I am saying. So no matter how bad the odds are, the ones that want to try have a right to. No need to try to dash hopes or effort no matter the outcome.

Anonymous, do you know what I think? I think you have your opinion and we have another, so stop traying to screw up our fight (or stop to seems it). But, really, you will not. I live in Brazil and I'll send my letter, don't matter how much it will cost. I'm trying hardly translate all my words into English to send it. You just don't know how it is. You don't know how this is important for ALL of us. Show our support don't matter anymore; it's more than that. We really want put him up, and it's not just because the role. Solomon do need us. He deserves it more than anyone. Do know what it is SELL your car to pay a GYM? Man, really... Solomon is the best guy to play Sam and other roles that, I have SURE, will appear. So, we'll continue our fight. Simple, huh? (:

Dandara..

Great.. We have our own opinions, and we are free to say what we want. If you guys want to think that im saying this in a defeatist way, then thats your opinion.

No you dont have to be professional about it but I however am.

Great your fans, but seriously, he didnt really want it. If he did, he would of made it publically known, rather than selling his car for the gym. Instead of the gym, he should have taken acting classes to help him out. He let this happen. So therefor I don't feel bad.
